This was not nearly as awesome as the snack basket, but PlayPeeps were eating them up. It was working alright. PlayWell then started supplying fresh fruits in the kitchens once a month and the crowds went wild! It was great!!! PlayGreen paid attention to this and last year made the move to hire Spud.com to be our official healthy snacks supplier. Now we get fresh fruit delivered straight to us every week! And the crowds are still going wild! It's TERRIFIC!
After the success of the healthy snacks, PlayGreen also looked at this snack basket idea again and were trying to figure out how to make that a successful venture. Thus, the vending machine was born! And PlayGreen filled it with "Fit Pick" options. These options are snacks that contain less than 35% fat, less than 10% saturated fat and less than 35% of total weight from sugar.
And the then the crowds got a little fussy....agreeing that it would be nice to have the occasional "unhealthy" option we added a row of chocolate to the machine. Thus far, the machine is doing well. The fussiness seems to have died down and we hope you are all enjoying the many choices.
We want you all to enjoy the option of having healthy options. This is why we provide Spud delivery and the vending machine. The ultimate goal for these initiatives are to be another food source for employees which allows you to make better snack choices throughout the day. It is not a requirement but a benefit to working for a company that cares about your overall health.
