Green Your Home Office

Hello Home Office and Remote Employees!!!
Today we bring you some green tips to make your already telecommuting even greener!

Green Your Home Office

1. Collect any paper which is printed on one side and bind them to use as note paper. (Or just staple it into a pad)
Working from home is already green, as you save so much fuel getting to and from work. There are lots of things you can do, however, to make your job even greener. Here is a shortlist of our favorite suggestions from Freelance Switch, which the fellow in the picture might consider:
2. When you need to print something, print on both sides of a piece of paper.
3. Put two bins by your desk-one for recyclables and one for waste.
4. Recycle your printer cartridges. (Or refill them, rather than buy new ones.)
5. Turn off your computer when you finish work for the night.
6. Buy a video camera and go to a virtual meeting on Skype rather than drive to a physical one.
7. Send and receive virtual faxes, rather than paper ones. (Interaction Client does this! If you don't have it set up this way and need help, reach out to PlayGreen@PlayNetwork.com and we'll help you!)
8. Send your invoices via e-mail, rather than posting them.
9. Install energy-efficient lighting around the office.
10. In summer if you can make do without air conditioning, open a window instead.
11. In winter, reduce your heating and wear a little extra clothing instead.
How many of these things are you doing in your home office? Are you doing other Green things that are not on this list? SEND 'EM IN!
