Turn Off the Lights for Earth Hour
Get ready to join the world and celebrate Earth Hour, Saturday, March 28 from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. This year, Earth Hour aims to have 1 billion people switch off their lights, as a global call to action and a darkening stance against global warming. Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007 when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. Last year, more joined in, with 50 million people flicking the switch. Like last year, the City of Seattle will be turning off the lights in our facilities and will proclaim the day “Earth Hour Day.”

this is really cool! i found another blog last week that promotes once a week, going w/o electricity in your house for 24 hours. and youre not just saving energy, you'll probably find yourself, reading, doing a crossword, playing games w/ family, etc... i loved this idea so much, were starting it next week!
