Improved Recycling In Seattle Starting March 30th

Starting on Monday, March 30th, the City Of Seattle will put into effect an improved recycling program. Seattle residents & businesses will be able to reduce, reuse, & recycle more than ever before! One of the biggest improvements is the additional plastic items you can now recycle, and no need to sort your recyclables. Seattle households can also begin to compost meat, dairy, bones & shells by placing them in their Yard Waste receptacle (Apartment/Condo residents need to contact their manager for these services).

If you're not a resident of Seattle, perhaps you can buddy-up with someone that does live in Seattle who is willing to help you out with your recycling efforts.

Do's & Don'ts are available in several languages.

Go here for helpful informational videos to help sort it all out.

If you have any questions on the new program, call City Of Seattle's Customer Service: 206-684-3000.
