Hundreds of volunteers are needed at nine restoration work sites along the Duwamish River. Work parties begin at 10 AM as the semi-annual Duwamish Alive! community celebration kicks off to restore habitat for fish and wildlife. Pull weeds, mulch planting areas, plant native vegetation, and pick up debris and trash in the restoration areas. Bring a friend, bring your family, bring yourself and wear some work clothes. People for Puget Sound will provide tools, gloves and instructions.

· No experience necessary--safety will be discussed during the project overview.

· The event will take place rain or shine.

· Dress for the weather (rain gear in case of bad weather or sunglasses and a hat if it's sunny).

· Wear sturdy foot gear (boots, sneakers, etc. but no sandals).

· Long trousers and long sleeves are helpful where there are blackberries

· Bring work gloves and weeding tools if you have them.

· Bring a lunch bag and a refillable water bottle.
