February 22, 7-9pm, Brickhouse Bar, Vancouver
Friends of the Gorge hosts a free social event to discuss its efforts to launch the exciting program called Towns to Trails that aims to connect Gorge towns with hiking trails. Also get an update on efforts to protect air quality in the Gorge, as well as a preview of the spring hiking program and the new hiking challenge Waterfall Wanderlust. Learn more.

Prep for Rainier - Guides and Routes

February 23, 7pm, REI, Olympia
Join Internation Mountain Guides (IMG) to learn about possible guides and routes on Mt. Rainier this summer. A professional guide will go over the primary routes on Mt. Rainier, what to expect on a guided climb, and will share tips for a successful and safe summit bid on Mt. Rainier. Learn more.

Port Susan Snow Goose & Birding Festival

Tiny Worlds: Moss Forests

Discover wonders on trail you might be walking past. Join bryologist James Wood for an interactive learning experience and discover the tiny green world of forest mosses. Wood will help you learn to appreciate moss in a whole new way with good moss habitat and magnification. Class is $5 and you must register in advance.

WTA Trails and Ales in Vancouver
March 29, 6pm - 8pm, Brickhouse Bar, Vancouver
Raise an ale to celebrate the coming season on trails with fellow hikers, WTA and guidebook author, Craig Romano. Learn about some of the best backpacking destinations in the state.
